Massac VINE Coverage
Illinois VINELink is the public entry to VINE, a custody search and notification service. Illinois describes connections with county jail booking systems, IDOC, the Department of Human Services, and circuit clerks. Coverage still depends on each agency feed. The agency shown on a match matters as much as the name.
For a county-jail record, confirm that the source is the Massac County Sheriff. For a Massac defendant later committed to state prison, look for IDOC. Same-name records from another county are not substitutes. VINE does not cover federal BOP custody, and it is not a permanent historical release ledger.

Field labels can change. Quote only what the live Illinois record displays. A retained record may describe a custody event or release status, but no single released-result phrase was validated for every participating agency.

The PIN acknowledges automated calls. Email registration does not use that phone PIN. Keep the confirmation because it identifies the person, agency, and selected event.
Confirm Massac VINE Alerts
Automated messages can arrive after the event. A release from one agency may also be a transfer into another agency’s custody. Preserve the message time and wording, then call the listed source. For the Massac Sheriff, use 618-524-2912. For IDOC, compare the public profile with the records channel.
VINE support cannot change a jail record or resolve a court disposition. The Massac County release-record search covers the sheriff log, court docket, and IDOC checks needed after an alert. In an emergency, call 911.
Massac App Versus VINE
The official Massac County Sheriff app is the local channel for jail information and current inmates. Its description also mentions broad public-safety push notices. It does not promise a person-specific release alert or released-person archive. VINE supplies that documented individual notification layer.
Use the app to check the current county channel, then use VINE for the matching person and agency. App-store reviews suggest features and timing have varied, but reviews do not prove a person’s status. A dated screen and source-agency call remain essential.
The manifest’s successful BOP and ICE images do not depict VINE and are therefore not used here. The VINE capture failed, so the page remains text-only under the image protocol.
Note: Absence from both the sheriff app and VINE remains inconclusive without a release or transfer record.
Massac Release Alert Follow-Up
A sound follow-up saves the alert, notes its time, and asks what event occurred. For the Sheriff, request the discharge or transfer entry and destination. For IDOC, compare Offender Status, Location, last parole date, projected discharge date, and sentence-discharge data.
If the source points to federal custody, switch systems. The BOP locator covers sentenced federal prisoners and can retain past release information. ICE maintains its own immigration locator. VINE should not be stretched to cover either route.
Massac Jail VINE Verification
For a person tied to Massac County Jail, the Sheriff’s custody record is the source that can distinguish a community release from an agency transfer. Ask for the discharge or transfer entry, release type, destination, and receiving agency. VINE’s automated event can point to that record, but it cannot add details the participating feed did not send.
The Sheriff’s public inmate page directs users to the official app for current inmate information. It does not publish a historical VINE registration list, a 24-hour release feed, or a 72-hour archive. A person who vanishes from the current display may have been released, transferred, omitted due to lag, or entered under a different spelling. Preserve the app time and call the jail before drawing a conclusion.
Massac County Jail also contract-houses some detainees for Johnson and Pope Counties. The agency and controlling court on the VINE match therefore need close review. A person physically held in Massac County can have a case record controlled elsewhere.
Massac IDOC VINE Matches
When VINE identifies IDOC as the source, switch to the IDOC Individual in Custody Search for the fuller corrections profile. It can display Offender Status, Location, parent institution, projected parole and discharge dates, sentence data, and a photograph where published. VINE remains the alert layer, while IDOC remains the state corrections record.
A parole status shows the person left the institution but remains under state supervision. An absconder status also describes continuing supervision. Neither is final discharge. Once an IDOC sentence is fully complete, the profile can stop appearing publicly, which makes IDOC’s archived Record Search route more useful than repeated VINE searches.
Note: A projected parole date is not a VINE release event and must not be reported as an actual release.
Massac VINE Registration Safety
Use a contact method the registrant controls. Do not enter another person’s telephone number or email address without authorization. A phone PIN should not be easy for someone else to guess, since it is used to acknowledge an automated call. Save the registration confirmation in a secure place.
Notification choices can change with the interface and source agency. Review the selected person, agency, and event before submitting. If a registration stops working, return to the current record and verify the offered channels rather than assuming the custody status changed.
Massac VINE Record Timing
Agency feeds do not all update at the same moment. Note the displayed time, the alert time, and the time of the confirming call. Those three points can differ without proving that any one source is false.
For later proof, request the source agency’s dated record. VINE is built for event notice, while the sheriff or IDOC keeps the custody record.
